In the spring of 2026, HUEMN Co-founder & Creative Director Pranav Kirti accidentally found a portrait of his mother, Pushpa Mishra, as a young girl of 15. Her hair tied in twin braids, the photograph captivated him.
“I've spoken often of my father, but never of my mother. It took me a long time to understand her. For the first time in the portrait, I didn't see a mother or a wife; I saw the absolute absence of my own existence. My father's memory drove my work for years. Today, my mother has entered the frame.” says Misra.
